The Area
The pretty market town of Kingsbridge with its independent shops, farmers’ market, restaurants, pubs and three-screen cinema sits at the top of the estuary, and is only a ten minute walk away. There is an Olympic size swimming pool at Quayside Leisure Centre as well as squash courts and gym.
Kingsbridge is equi-distant between the seaside towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth. For a taste of the sixties, Totnes and Dartington are half an hour away.
Both offer river trips along the glorious Dart, and are en-route to Dartmoor with its traditional pubs, fabulous walks and ponies.
Cliffside walks, sailing, surfing, riding and cycling are just some of the activities available nearby.

For rainy days, the waterside city of Plymouth and cathedral city of Exeter, are both within easy reach with super shopping and restaurants. The South Hams has an extraordinarily wide range of local produce, including meat, wine, cheese, fish, seafood and even chillies.
As a result it has became known as a foodie’s paradise.
For entertaining the children, Paignton Zoo, Plymouth Aquarium and Woodlands Leisure Park are all an easy drive away.
Not to mention the wonderful beaches, local ice cream, pasties and Devon cream teas.
We had a fabulous weekend in the Barn. It was all that was promised and more. We'll most definitely be back!
